“I started playing piano when I was 7, and have learned various other instruments along the way. After a break from music, I dove back into it in 2012 and have been grinding every since!
I am very fortunate to be a part of this company as it allows me to work around my passion full time. I hope that my business background can help the company continue to grow.

Kiki Plesha (Our Fairy Rock Mother)
Director of Publicity & Promotions - Atlanta, GA
Kiki Plesha (AKA The Fairy Rock Mother) has a true passion for the indies. Hailing from a musical family, she began her long career in entertainment as a rock singer/guitarist and started playing out in venues while just in High School. She additionally studied dance, which led to appearances and roles in cabaret-esque and musical variety shows around the Chicagoland area as both a singer and featured dancer. While working for a modeling agency in Chicago, she responded to a “cattle call” that requested “someone with the looks of a model who could type, answer phones, and “talk good” …a tall order for many models! Kiki got the job – and was offered the gig as the receptionist for Mr. Carson and The Tonight Show in a satellite advertising office located in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. She soon parlayed this into a full-fledged career in Marketing & Advertising for the legendary late night talk show host. Mr. Carson once remarked to his VP of Advertising, “That chick gives good phone.” Despite this glowing testimonial from Johnny, she ultimately left that position to raise her family in Chicago. During this “down” time, she developed an award-winning Hip Hop Dance Troupe, served as a coordinator/emcee for charity fashion shows, and produced special events for the Chicago Park District. She was additionally appointed as a member of Mayor Daley’s “Artist-In-Residence Program,” which afforded her the opportunity to bring her innovative rock n’ roll-infused music programs to area schools. Her vast life experiences heightened her resolve to pursue other avenues in the business of entertainment. To date, Kiki has worked for a national celebrity booking agency and served as A&R for an independent label. In 2014, she founded a global music magazine (ION Indie Magazine) and is currently the publication’s Editor-in-Chief and Art Director. In 2016, she launched her own PR agency, Rock Mother Promotions, and in 2019, she joined the staff of the newly-launched music television channel, IndieCast TV. For the last 5 years, Kiki has been honored to serve as the personal publicist for CMT Artist Ashley Wineland. Kiki has held board positions as Director of Marketing on a plethora of arts-related nonprofits’ in cities nationwide and has received several awards for her work in various arts communities and cultural groups. She has written numerous articles on the business of music, is a frequent guest on radio shows, and often sought-out as a consultant and advisor to indie artists seeking to position themselves for success. Kiki is proud to join the staff of Indie On Air Records and “lend a wing” to their talented, deserving artists.

I learned the Carter Scratch from my mother and Black Sabbath and CCR from my brothers. I spent a few years working tours doing light rigging and sound before eventually transitioning to promotions for Time Warner after college. With the changes in the music industry, it has become apparent that a new model is needed. IOA has built a model that can adapt quickly and across multiple platforms. IOA has reignited my passion for music, as new, dynamic, independent artists can benefit from this model, all the while being true to their own vision. Music has and can change the world.
